Free, with no account
Create a chart, paste your list, lay out the room, write your rules, run the auto-assign, move people by hand, and export a watermarked copy. That is the entire building workflow, and it costs nothing.
The chart lives in your browser. That is enough for a one-off job and not enough for anything you need next month, because clearing site data or changing device loses it.

Teachers: 3.99 USD a month or 29.99 USD a year
A subscription fits the way teaching works: many classes, all year, reshuffled every few weeks. Your charts are saved to your account, so last term's plan is there when you need to shuffle it for the new term.
The yearly price works out at about 2.50 USD a month, and it costs less than the monthly plan from the eighth month onward.

Weddings and events: 9 USD once
Most people plan one wedding, and a subscription for one wedding is a bad deal for both of us. The event pass is a single payment that unlocks one chart for 12 months, which covers the planning and the day itself with room to spare.
If you are planning two events, buy two passes. There is no hidden per-guest pricing and nothing expires early.

What payment does not change
The editor, the rules, the templates and the auto-assign are identical on the free and paid tiers. Paying does not make the assignment better or give you more seats. It covers what happens after the chart is finished: keeping it, printing it cleanly and sharing it.
Questions people ask
Can I try it before paying?
Yes, and without an account. Build the whole chart first and decide afterwards whether you want to keep it, export it cleanly or share it.
Which currency am I charged in?
US dollars in English and euros in German. The amounts are 3.99 and 29.99 for the subscription and 9 for the event pass in both currencies.
Does the event pass expire?
Yes, after 12 months. It unlocks one chart from the day you buy it. Seating usually starts a couple of months before the event, so that leaves room for a long engagement or a postponement.
Can I cancel the teacher subscription?
Yes, from your account page, at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Do I need the subscription for one classroom chart?
No. Building and printing a watermarked chart is free. Pay when you want it saved, clean and shareable.
Is there a refund if I bought the wrong thing?
Write to the support address and explain what happened. An event pass bought by a teacher who needed the subscription is a mistake worth fixing, not an argument.
